self help books on relationships

How to repair self-esteem, broken or distorted self-image?
I say they are very distorted self-perception. I hate my physical body. Even when I lose weight or change the color of my hair, I feel good temporarily and then hate yourself and simply drag back. I realize that no matter how good I am, I will not be happy until they fix something inside. But I do not know how. My low self-esteem is to break my relationship apart. Does anyone know of a useful book help me? Therapy is to achieve this at all useful? Thank you. Please explain what you mean by "positive affirmations". If I mean you talk, do not usually find it useful. Besides, I wanted to add that I am very happy with my life and my surroundings. It twisted me and my car View seems to be causing the problem. This is not only the general depression. Thank you very much to all who have responded.
I get like that sometimes. This sounds easier said than done, but try to think of how good your life is and how much worse it could be. To start in a relationship. Be grateful for it (unless has an abusive partner). There are a lot of lonely people out there want there could be someone else in your life. Also, try to be with your friends more often. If you do not get out much to ask some of his friends to dinner or a movie. I hope that helps.
