Drug and alcohol user, and finally out to be addicts have no solution, unless they determine change themselves. But they require a means to help them out of this sick practice. They need a moral and medical support to return to normal life. You and I can give long lectures, but for practical reasons we can do nothing to heal up. There is no provision to be admitted to the clinic here and are being processed under a constant control and supervision. Rather, the doctors here ask the family members to cooperate with the situation and be at the bedside to help him or her in every way possible. This group will provide the guidance from above.
In many alcoholic cases have kicked the habit through self-help, but there are a large number of such cases, especially drug addicts who can not leave these habits so easily.
Home for addicts
The rehabilitation clinics are a second home for drug addicts. They are given attention and care in these rehabilitation centers. And they do engage in different activities can be a change from within them.

Do you know the difference between a recession, depression and recovery?
A recession is when you lose your job. A depression is when you and your neighbor both lose their jobs. A recovery is when Obama loses his job!
Wrong Answer! To answer your question: 1. Recession - A general slowdown in economic activity over a long period of time 2. Depression - an economic downturn more severe than a recession 3. The economic recovery - the economy picks back up, people are spending money again, companies are re-employment. SOURCES: High School Diploma. Associate Degree. Any of which, I suspect they have not.

self help addiction recovery program

what is th e difference between addiction clinical counslors and 12 step self help programs?
I am doing a research paper on drug addiction recovery and what the difference is between the clinical staff (treatment) and going to self help 12-Step groups (etc. N/A, AA).
In a clinical setting it's more one on one and some find it easier to open up in that setting. Most addicts have underlying issues that caused the addiction in the first place. As for A/A-N/A is done in a group setting where one addict depends on others to help him. Its a support structure, that can be carried from the meeting to the street or home. If the addict feels the need to use he/she can call upon their sponsor for help. (only works if the phone call is made) I prefer to counsel in small groups, and do not follow the A/A N/A method. Drugs and alcohol use is a personal choice just as recovery is. Recovery will only work when the person truly wants to quit.

great depression relief programs

Did Franklin D. Roosevelt 's New Deal program will help end the Great Depression?
I'm doing a research project on several various New Deal agencies employed in Roosevelt's New Deal program in 1900. First, we need to classify in Socorro, reform or recovery and I need some help. These are the categories that still need: CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) of the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) FTP (Federal Theater Project) FWA (Federal Works Agency) FWP Project (Federal Writers') RA (Resettlement) RFX (Reconstruction Finance Corporation) SSB (Board of Social Security), Usha (Housing Authority of the United States) Thanks in advance, I really need help with this.
No, the New Deal was a total failure. Economists Modern generally agree that Franklin Roosevelt extended the Great Depression at least 7 years longer than necessary to last. The New Deal failed because it interfered with natural market forces that has been corrected themselves sooner rather than later. For example, for every government job that was created, more jobs were lost in the private sector, who were the only jobs that could have helped revive the economy. Today, Obama is leading us down the same path taken by Roosevelt in 1933. Moreover, for the record, Franklin D. Roosevelt was not a good president. He was an aspiring dictator who ruled for more than it was a gentleman (4 conditions) and tried to circumvent the Constitution of the Supreme Court with Democrats (1937 Reorganization Bill Judicial). He was a communist sympathizer with Stalin and allowed Cozier the Soviets to take Berlin East. Finally, the internment of 120,000 Japanese-Americans was one of the worst violations of human rights in the history of USA.

self help addiction rehab

I found out my gf had a 3-some with two men over four years ago. Can I hold this against her?
I told my girlfriend that I had fallen in love with her a month ago. She has had a rough past with drug and liquor addictions. I have easily dealt with this because she has been through rehab and AA and has truely changed to the person that I love today. I admire her strength and dedication to get through it. She is such a good woman now with a good heart and I do love her.
She told me that when she went through re-hab her self confidence was extremely low, near a suicidal level. And a remedy for helping the self-confidence issue was to have one night stands with men, and even had a threesome with two guys. All of this happened 4 years ago. This disgusts me, but it's hard for me to hold this against her because she was a totally different person then. This is a truely a good woman, but it's hard not to think of her as slutty. I have aspirations of marrying her, but this part is hard to deal with. Am I right or wrong for dwelling on this? Should I put it behind me?
Exactly how much of her past are you able to change? None? Then why dwell on something you have no control over?

depression and alcohol recovery
Do Things Ever Get Easier In This Situation I Am In?
After being a Marijuana addict and a raging alcoholic for 6 years I hit rock bottom and went into rehab. I have been almost 7 months sober and for the most part though its been hard I have been proud of my sobriety but lately I am really feeling like relapsing. I feel like I am always triggered and I still am yet to find anything as fun or time consuming as alcohol/weed. During my recovery process I had to leave behind a lot of friends and don't have many anymore that I can trust myself with so other than responsibilities and obligations I don't do much anymore. I am bored with life and thinking is this really all there is? I have gained 30lbs and feel horrible about myself, I am starting to think that having false happiness is better than real stress and depression. I want to know if I will always be triggered like this? Will things ever change any more than they have or is this really all life is?
You keep up the good work. You are getting a taste of the real world...like you said without the "false happiness". What I would suggest is that you speak with your doc letting him know your symptoms...he may prescribe you an anit-depressant like Cymbalta. It doesn't make you tired/high...it will just be your antenna that is missing.
Just give your doc a visit and see what they say.
