self help literary agents
Copyrights and Publishing?
Should I Copyright my manuscript before trying to contact a literary agent and/or publishing it on my own? And if I decide to do self-publishing can I still get a literary agent to pitch it to a major publishing company?
Any help would be great.
I think Internationally, but definitely here in Australia you have automatic copyright once your Ms is published. Whether or not you have to put the (c) name on the flyleaf, I don't know. I always put it on my mss when I send them off, and then forget the whole thing.
